Art Smith And Son Heating and Cooling was founded in May 2011 by Art Smith and his son Daniel. Before starting the company, Art spent 7 years working in the field as an HVAC technician and an additional 4 years as a service manager, learning the trade from the inside out. Daniel followed his father into the trade through a formal HVAC apprenticeship and earned his journeyman's license alongside the family business. Both Art and Daniel hold journeyman's licenses, and together they bring 37 years of combined HVAC experience to every job.

Experience That Started Long Before 2011
The company was founded in 2011, but the experience behind it goes back further. Art spent 7 years as a working HVAC technician, learning the trade through hands-on field work in homes and businesses across the region. He then spent 4 years as a service manager, where he was responsible for diagnosing customer problems, scheduling crews, ordering parts, and ensuring the work met both manufacturer specifications and customer expectations. That combination of field experience and management experience is what made the leap to running his own company possible.
Daniel grew up around the trade and chose to pursue it formally through an HVAC apprenticeship. After completing the apprenticeship and earning his journeyman's license, Daniel joined his father full-time. Today the two of them split responsibilities between field work, customer consultations, system design, and the operational side of running a family business.
